Crosswords combine vocabulary, memory, general knowledge and problem-solving in one familiar activity. You can complete a puzzle in one sitting or pause and return later.

Start With the Clues You Recognize
You do not need to solve a crossword in numerical order. Begin with the answers that feel familiar. Short clues, common words and obvious definitions can place several letters into the grid. Those letters may make the more difficult crossing answers much easier to recognize.
Use Crossing Letters as Helpful Hints
Every correctly completed word can provide letters for another answer. When a clue is difficult, review the letters already placed where its word crosses other answers. A partial pattern such as C–A–R may help you think of the intended word without revealing the solution.
Take Your Time and Change Difficulty When Needed
The timer is available for visitors who enjoy tracking their progress, but there is no need to rush. Pause the game when you need a break. Easy mode uses shorter and more familiar words, while Medium and Hard provide a stronger vocabulary challenge. Switching levels creates another daily puzzle for that setting.
Use Hints Without Giving Away the Entire Puzzle
Reveal Letter fills only the selected square. Reveal Word completes the highlighted answer. The game tracks how many hints you use, but there is no penalty. The controls are simply there to keep the crossword enjoyable when a clue becomes frustrating.
Return Later Without Losing Your Work
Your entered letters, elapsed time and hint count are saved in the browser on the device you are using. You may close the page and return later to continue the same daily puzzle. Selecting New Puzzle creates a different crossword when you are ready for another challenge.
Make the Game More Comfortable
Senior Mode enlarges the page text, clue cards, controls and crossword letters. Dark Mode changes the surrounding game area to a darker display that some visitors may prefer in the evening. You can also print a blank puzzle for pencil play or print the answer key separately.
